With the start of the school year just around the corner, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce the Roslyn School Activities Program line up for the 2014/ 2015 school year. We are very proud of the diverse offerings of the Activities Program, particularly those in the after school line-up, and hope that you will be able to find something which would engage and enrich your child’s school experience. Before enrolling your child/children elsewhere, please take a moment to consider the many options available and the convenience it offers by enrolling your child/children with us at Roslyn.
Please find the activities schedule, activity costs, detailed descriptions, and Registration Form for download here.
Registration will be held on Thursday September 18th from 5-7 in the main gym. This will take place on the same evening as “Meet the teacher”.

Details about two special programmes:
We are very pleased to announce the return of the “Homework Assistance Program” offered to all children enrolled in the after school activities program ONLY on the day(s) for which they are registered in an activity. This program is being offered by the Trevor Williams Foundation and is free of charge. We will have student tutors come in and help our Roslyn students get their homework started and with any luck completed. This will allow you to pick your child up at 5:30 even if their activity class finishes at 4:30 or 5:00 o’clock. We however require that ALL children be picked up at 5:30, which is the latest finish time for all activities. A 10 minute grace period will be accorded for unforeseen emergencies. It is however your responsibilities to either collects your child or make arrangements for pick-up NO LATER than 5:40. Late fees will apply and must be paid promptly before your child/children will be allowed to continue with their activity or participate in the homework program.
NEW! The Roslyn School Choir
This year Roslyn School is proud to announce the creation of The Roslyn School Choir under the direction of Mr. Dimitri Ilias as a lunch activity on Friday’s for grades 3-6. Children will be selected through an audition process. This project, Time for flowers-Time for Snow (Temps des Fleurs ,Temps de la Neige) is a massive multi-disciplinary project culminating in the creation of a book/CD for children in French. This musical super production is being produced by our choir directors Dimitris Ilias and Maria Diamantis under the auspices of the Governments of Canada, Quebec, the Cities of Montreal and Laval and the Embassies of Canada and Greece. A presentation to detail the project to the children is scheduled for lunchtime on Wednesday September 10th (Parents are welcome to attend) and auditions will be held on Wednesday September 24th (at lunch time in the music room). Please follow the links below to familiarize yourself with the English production of the project which was completed last year. Addition information and registration will be sent home after the information session is held.
Please note that this class is separate and aside from the Glee Club though children may enroll for both. Registration fees for choir will be determined based on enrolment.
